Regarding the media coverage of “The President Did Not Attend the 95th Anniversary Ceremony of the Republic of China Military Academy”, Ministry of National Defense has stated today (16th) that the anniversary of the Republic of China Military Academy follows the traditional practices by inviting the president as the host every 10th anniversary, and ministers or chiefs as well as the army commander every 5th anniversary, with the relevant practices clearly specified.

Ministry of National Defense pointed out that this year (2019) happens to be the 95th anniversary of the Republic of China Military Academy, and the president was not invited as usual, where Mr. Yan, minister of Ministry of National Defense, served as the host for the theme of “Huangpu 95, Passing Down the Torch). Various ceremonies and exhibition were completed successfully today (16th) morning, and were well received by each sector, guests, as well as attending teachers and students. 

Ministry of National emphasized that the joint graduation ceremony for the Armed Forces and the six schools on June 28th this year (2019) will invite the president as the host; the ministry hereby requests the continuous support from all citizens.
